UBS Global Wealth Report 2024

For the period up to 2028, the report predicts that the number of assets worth more than one million US dollars will increase by around 14% to 3.229 million.

According to the UBS report, the number of millionaires in Germany in 2023 was 2.821 million. In 2022, it was still around 2.6 million. The bank counts the value of all financial assets plus tangible assets - such as real estate - as wealth. Debts are deducted from the calculation. In terms of the number of millionaires, Germany ranks fifth in the UBS Global Wealth Report - behind the USA, China, France and Japan. In the ranking of countries with the highest average wealth, measured in dollars, Germany only came in 17th place.
