New Bain/Fondazione Altagamma study: Global luxury industry remains resilient

The industry's global turnover is expected to reach around 1.44 trillion euros in 2025. These are the findings of the latest "Luxury Goods Worldwide Market Study" by international management consultants Bain & Company and the Italian luxury goods association Fondazione Altagamma.
There has been a change in consumer behavior: Luxury is increasingly defined by experiences and no longer solely by possessions. According to the study, customers around the world prefer "experience-oriented enjoyment" instead of "conspicuous consumption" and are setting new status symbols in areas such as wellness and self-reward from a variety of luxury experiences.
